Our So You Want To Be An Actor programme was our successful week-long intensive for teenagers interested in pursuing a career in acting.​

 

During the programme attendees:

• worked with a professional director to prepare an audition piece

• had acting headshots done and learned how to prepare a CV

• undertook workshops in voice, movement and different performance styles

• created a short performance and took part in a final sharing of work

• explored the different working environments of film, tv & theatre

• discussed showreels, self-taping and social media do’s and don’ts

 

Highlight of the week was an interactive session with invited professionals from the BBC Casting Department, Arts Ed, working actors, directors and agents.

 

Due to popularity, this programme was under review, with two options being developed:​

 

1. Introduction to Acting for 13 - 15 years.

2. Drama School & Industry Prep for 16 - 18 years.​
